LIFE AT KITLABS

Where engineers do their best work.

No micromanagement. No pointless standups. No “ship it and hope.” We’ve built a place where smart people own hard problems — and get full credit when they solve them.

We hire for potential. We promote for impact — not tenure.

What you'll actually get

CULTURE PHILOSOPHY

Three convictions that shape how we work.

01

Ownership over task assignment

Engineers here own outcomes — not tickets. When you take on a feature or a client problem, it's yours to solve end to end. That means more responsibility — and real satisfaction when it ships.

02

Curiosity over comfort

We'd rather have someone who asks hard questions than someone who just executes quietly. Innovation here doesn't come from mandated hackathons — it comes from people who refuse to accept "that's how we've always done it."

03

Always be learning

The landscape shifts fast. Every person at KITLABS spends real time with new tools and frameworks — not to fill a quota, but because it genuinely makes the work better and keeps your skills sharp.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

Things you won't hear at other IT Companies

No micromanagement — ever

You won't get 3 status requests per day. We hire people we trust and give them space to deliver. If something's stuck, the culture makes it safe to say so.

Real clients. Real consequences.

Your work ships to businesses in Chicago, London, and Sydney. Real users, real stakes. That pressure makes the work meaningful — and builds a portfolio that travels.

Your voice matters regardless of seniority

Architecture decisions get challenged at every level here. The best idea wins — whoever it came from. We have no hierarchy that filters good thinking out.

AI tools are the default — not an add-on

Every engineer at KITLabs works with AI-assisted tooling from day one. Move faster, document better, spend more time on the problems that actually need human judgment.

"The best thing about working here is that nobody pretends to know everything — including leadership."

— Senior Backend Engineer, 3 years at KITLABS

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

The stuff that actually matters to engineers.

Not a foosball table or unlimited coffee. Real things that make your work and career better.

Global Client Exposure

Work on products used by businesses in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. Build a portfolio that speaks for itself.

AI-First Workflow

Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and internal AI tooling — standard on every project. You'll work smarter from day one.

Learning Budget

₹40,000/year on courses, certifications, or books. No approval theatre, no justification required.

Flexible Hours

Core hours 11am–4pm. Outside of that, manage your own time. We care about what you ship.

90-Dat Growth Plan

Every hire gets a growth roadmap from day one. Specific milestones, clear criteria — no vague "opportunities."

Real Ownership

Client calls, architecture reviews, sprint plannings. You're in the room — not watching from the sidelines.

Direct Access to Leadership

Monthly 1:1s with senior leadership. Actual conversations about your work, goals, and the company's direction.

Hybrid Work Model

Chandigarh HQ with hybrid flexibility. Remote supported on project basis. No performative presence required.

Recognition That's Real

Bi-annual performance reviews tied to impact, not politics. No waiting for your "turn."

Team Values

Five words we actually hire and fire by.

Not wall art. The criteria we use in hiring, performance reviews, and deciding who we want to grow with.

Ownership

See it. Own it. Fix it. Don't wait to be asked. If you spot a problem, you're responsible for it now.

Accountability

Say what you'll do. Do what you said. When things go wrong — own it, fix it, prevent it.

Curiosity

Ask why. Challenge assumptions. The moment you stop asking questions is the moment you plateau.

Empathy

Understand the client's problem before solving it. Understand your teammate before judging their decision.

Craft

Care about quality — not just whether it ships. Good enough isn't good enough at KITLabs.

A DAY AT KITLABS

What a typical day actually looks like.

No two days are identical — but this is the rhythm most engineers settle into after their first few weeks.

9:30
Async catchup

Review overnight Slack (US clients). Plan your morning. No mandatory standup before 10am.

11:00
Deep work block

Core hours. This is where the real work happens — building, reviewing, architecting. Minimal interruptions by design.

2:00
Client or team sync

Sprint review, architecture discussion, or client call. You're in the room — not watching from the sidelines.

4:30
Ship & document

PRs, deployment, or wrap-up. Leave things clean for the next person. Done when it's done

WE'RE HIRING

If this sounds like where you want to work — let's talk.

We're looking for engineers, designers, and strategists who want real problems, real ownership, and a place to actually grow. Not a company where you disappear into a team of 200.

We read every application. Response within 5 business days — always.
